I think we're all familiar with at least one or more of the different WriMos, whether it's the original
NaNo,
or one of its many spin-offs. Here is where you can inform the board about writing challenges not hosted here.
Rules for Posting
1. Only post one challenge per thread. This makes it easier for users to browse and minimizes confusion in replies.
2. Keep the contests PG13. If there is an erotica challenge somewhere out there, we don't want to hear about it here. Please keep younger viewrs in mind when choosing which challenges to advertise.
3. Read through the subjects first before posting to ensure the challenge you wish to advertise has not already been pimped out and paraded.
4. Please include a description and link with each of the challenges you advertise.
5. Challenges that are open to certain people (I.E. Challenge communities on LiveJournal) are permitted. Just be certain to mention that in your subject (I.E. Summerwrite: LJ Challenge).
6. Do not scorn, slander or otherwise attack another challenge that may be posted here simply because you yourself do not like it. Doing so will earn you a warning and possibly a suspension depending upon the severity of the attack.
7. When posting a link to a challenge website, do not hide it behind text. Post the plain http:// URL so it can be copied into a web browser if so desired.
8. You must have fun.
If you have any questions, please see this board's
FAQ
Note that rules are subject to change at any time, so be sure to check back here periodically.
