In order for this forum to run smoothly, we must set down some ground rules. If you break them, you will be given a warning.
See
this post
for detailed information on the warning system.
That said, here we go.
These rules are subject to change at any time, so we recommend you checking back here periodically.

- Respect. We're all here because we love writing and because we are willing to put ourselves out there for a challenge that only a handful are brave enough or have the time to accept. Many of us are ametures who are looking for support and constructive critisism, not bashing and flames. If the mods see or hear of anyone doing either, you won't even get a warning. You will be banned immediately. Be Respectful or you're gone. That's all there is to it.
- When posting/promoting your stories, please be sure to follow the following header
Subject: Include the following in your subject:
Story Title; Fandom; Prompt Number - Prompt
E.G. Behind the Mirror; Original; 4 - Laughter and Smiles
HEADER:
Story title: (Nuff said.)
Author: (That's you, genius. You can either put your username or your display name here.)
Prompt/s you chose: (Yeah...I think this is pretty self explanitory. Post the prompt or prompts, (yes, you can use more than one) that inspired your story here in their entirety. Even if they're all lyrics or excerpts, we want to know exactly what got those creative juices of yours flowing!)
Exact word count: (Do I really need to explain this, guys? I don't think so, but I will anyway. Because we award our winners with shinies/graphics/banners/etc., we need to know exactly how many words you've written, for the simple fact that we don't want or need our WriWees simply posting 7,000 flat as their word count every week just to get a reward.)
Rating: (If we need to explain this, then we're not sure you should be writing! )
Pairing/s: (Tell us who we'll be reading about! If you are writing original, then simply delete this field.)
Genre/s: (Tell us what category or categories your story fits into! Whether it be fantasy, romance, Si-Fi, action, adventure, literary fiction, fanfiction or another, we demand to know!!!!)
Warnings: (If your story includes things such as pedofelia, incest, rape, character death, graphic violence, Mary_sues/Gary-stus, spoilers, etc., please list them here.
(Note: If you're writing fanfiction, don't worry about cannon deaths. For example, you don't need to warn readers that Boromir or Lily Potter die, but if you're gonna snuff poor Pippin or little Ginny, you might wanna throw a warning in here so ya don't get flayed alive by an unsuspecting reader.)
If there are no warnings, simply put 'N/A' here.
Story summary: (Again, if you don't understand this field, then go back to bed! For those of you who do, then give us a tantalizing description of what we're about to open! It can be as long, (notice the emphasis on long) as you want it to be!)
Disclaimer/Claimer: (If you're writing fanfiction, then it's not yours. Give credit where credit is due. If you are writing an original work, be sure to claim it for your own protection. State that it is your creation and anyone who steals it will be shot incessantly with slimy spitballs until they give it back!)
Author's notes: (Again, this is optional, but if you would like to thank anyone, explain anything, post translations, pronunciations, argue with your characters, talk to your readers as a whole or simply be silly, here's where to do it.)
Threads without a subject or propper header will be deleted.
You are allowed to insert your work within the body of your post, though we ask that you refrain from doing so as it will slow the loading time of that particular thread considerably as well as making it appear cluttered.
If you want to, feel free to use the template below to ensure you don't forget any fields. Just fill out the form and copy and paste it into your post.

Don't worry about clicking back here every time you need the template. It will be posted with the weekly prompts as well. - Continuations. We would prefer no continuations, but if you simply must add on to the tale from the week before, you must write another 7,000 words. No exceptions. The words from the previous week will not count toward the current week's goal.
- No plagiarism. All original works posted here are the sole property of their author, and it is imperative that permission be sought and obtained from said individual before the piece is reproduced in any form or means, whether it be print, electronic, audio, ETC. If this happens, you will not only earn yourself an immediate bann, but you will be reported to the proboards staff as well. Depending on the author, you may even find yourself facing a lawsuit, so we wouldn't even try it if we were you. Plagiarism is no light or laughing matter, and if you are a serious author, you know this. It will NOT be tollerated here.
If you don't know what plagerism is, then
Read the definition
If you have read the definition above or you know very well what plagerism is, yet you still refuse to take it seriously, then
Read about some of the consequences
It is up to you from there. If you're willing to face any and all of those consequences, then by all means, plagiarize.
It's your life. If you want to ruin it, then we can't help you. - At some point during this year-round challenge, whether you participate every week or once a month, you must have ridiculous amounts of fun. No. *shakes head* No arguing. It's a rule. If you don't follow it, we'll all band together and...er...well...er...we'll do something completely and utterly childish to you! So :-P!
These rules are subject to change at any time, so we recommend you checking back here periodically.
